Look Back - Completed

I really liked it. There were some really cool shots and based on the post-movie interview I really respected the director’s approach to this adaptation. I really wish I could give it a rewatch, I feel like it warrants it. I wasn’t expecting it to go where it went at all.

Okay - DOES ALL YURI HAVE TO BE DOOMED?? ALSO I WAS EXPECTING YURI YURI NOT SUBTEXT. I WANTED THEM TO KISS GOD DAMN IT. Moving on - I didn’t really get the whole inter-dimensional door slips things. Was what was shown n just supposed to be a hypothetical? Was it an alternate timeline?

Not sure if this is a 4 star or 5 star. I’m leaning towards 5.

Kyomoto was really cute. Where’s my Fujino to save me from the confines of my room and be gay with me? Also I really wasn’t expected someone to get killed in this. Heartbreaking. Fujino just wanted to be together with her… I assume the art school attack plot was inspired by the KyoAni attack due to the reasoning stated. Brutal and hits hard.

I really love the scene of Fujino slipping. That zoom in was so good.
