Gankutsuou - Completed

I completed “Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo”. I binged from episode two to the end (episode 24) in two days. It would’ve been one day if we started earlier and didn’t get sleepy the first day. It was excellent. There was a surprisingly amount of gayness in the show. It all but explicitly stated that Franz had feelings for Albert, and there was the femboy Peppo who did state he had feelings for Albert. For a show from 2004 it really went out there. The Count of Monte Cristo was a stellar antagonist. One of my new favorites. The art style was unique with it’s static textures for hair and clothes. I’ve never seen anything like it before. It looked cool. I’m giving this a 5/5, and/or a strong 8/10.
